





India, officially the Republic of India( Hindi: Bharat ), is a country in south Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical region. The most momentous capitals in the world & second-most populous country with over 1.2 billion people, and mot populous democracy in the world. India bounded by The Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabianea on the south-west, and the Bay of Bengal on the south-east. It shares land border with Pakistan to the west, China, Nepal and Bhutan to the north-west, & Burma and Bangladesh to the east. In the Indian Ocean, India is the neighborhood of Sri Lanka and the Maldive in addition, Andman and Nicobar Islands share a maritime border with Thailand and Indonesia. Figure of the humankind's outstanding religions-Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism originated here. The Indian economy is the world's 9th-largest economy. It has the 3rd-largest standing Army in the world. Indian Parliamentary System consisting of 28 states and 7 union territories.
New Delhi is the capital of India. New Delhi is situated within the metropolis of Delhi. The total area of the city is 1500 km. The Foundation of the Delhi was laid on December 15, 1911 and planned by two architects of 20th century namely Mr. Edwin Lutyens and Mr. Herbert Baker. New Delhi is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub complex and Red Fort.
Humayun's tomb (Hindi: Humayun ka Maqbara) is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1562 AD, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyath, a Persian architect.
The Qutub Minar is constructed with red sandstone and marble, and is the tallest minaret in India, with a height of 72.5 meters (237.8 ft), contains 379 stairs to reach the top, and the diameter of base is 14.3 meters where as the last store is of 2.7 meters.
The Red Fort is a 17th century fort complex constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the walled city of Old Delhi (in present day Delhi, India) that served as the residence of the Mughal Emperors. It also served as the capital of the Mughals until 1857, when Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar was exiled by the British Indian government. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.
